No need for an introduction. The South by South West Festival, better known by the name SXSW, has become an annual institution in Austin, Texas. And for the 2017 edition, Be Angels will be present on site to be part of the jury for a prize unlike any other…
For those that don’t know the SXSW yet, here is a little wake-up call. Created in 1987, the Texan festival has since become indispensable in the whole world. It’s one of the biggest music festivals that exist. But the SXSW is also known for its cinema aspect which developed in the 90s. Ultimately, to stay at the forefront of innovation, the festival has relied on an <<Interactive>> part with dozens of relevant conferences unveiling a bunch of never seen before technologies. Today SXSW is known for being a launcher of trends, a kind of Fashion Week of innovation. In a nutshell, it’s THE festival to follow to find out what the years to come will be like?
Perfect timing, for this 2017 edition which will take place from March 10th to 19th. Be Angels will be on site and not only to watch films and listen to music…
Be Angels Jury for the Interactive Innovation Award
The Interactive Innovation Awards, heard of it? The goal of this ceremony is to reward the best innovations in the digital world. We made it all happen to go so we could award a prize at this event! We can therefore, enable you to follow the latest news that we come across on the spot, and enable you to know the next innovative start-ups which will revolutionize tomorrow’s everyday life.
Allan, Be Angels strategic planner, will be there to evaluate the projects submitted by companies of all sizes in order to appoint the winner on March 14th. There are only 5 winners and a prize awarded by the public. Something tells us there’ll be lots of VR/AR, advertising, technology, connected objects, etc.
The rest of the time, Allan will go from conference to conference and you will find the reports of these meetings on his blog and live the SXSW as if you were there!
SXSW Interactive Innovation Award Finalists
We will certainly have a hard time deciding on our favorite projects in the many categories that exist. But the biggest thing has already been done: the initial sorting to get to the finalists! It only remains for us to see these projects in action and make our final decision… on March 14th.
And you, who are you voting for between all these good ideas?
